Apparently, even with drawn out vacation time, I still ended up falling behind on my reading goals for the month of September. My requested two weeks of days off from work ended up being spent more towards other In Real Life activities than my desired Bookish activities. Not that that's necessarily a bad thing, but I had even gone and made a "Vacation Time Reading List" that had two paperbacks and three e-books on it, hoping to at least knock off a few items from my TBR.
Instead, I went and enjoyed a nice vacation and only really finished two books during that time. Go figure. Nonetheless, I at least still made pretty good progress on my reading goals, I guess.
Cross my fingers for better time-management this coming month, no?

Reading Wrap-Up
11 books total were read in September. Obviously not my best month so hopefully the next month will be better. I think I might have spent more time making more lists and planning my TBR schedule than actually reading...
- Series I started reading in September:
X-Ops by Paige Tyler
Rizzoli & Isles by Tess Gerritsen
- Series I completed in September:
None
- Series I have made progress on in September:
Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer
Krewe of Hunters by Heather Graham
KGI by Maya Banks
Buchanan-Renard-McKenna by Julie Garwood
My favorite books read in September include Fairest and the two X-Ops books, Her Perfect Mate and Her Lone Wolf. I hadn't expected Fairest to be so full of FEELS, but it happened and I loved it! I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed Paige Tyler's X-Ops books considering I'd been expecting another guilty pleasure Romantic Suspense with more romance than suspense and more erotica than romance... but I found it highly enjoyable without too much schmaltz.
I was a bit disappointed in the two Krewe of Hunters books, considering how much I had enjoyed the series' first book, Phantom Evil when I first read it. I'm still going to pick up the next four Krewe books just to see if they get any better. I was also disappointed by Ruthless as I'd been really looking forward to it based on the subject matter, the exciting blurb, and the promised intensity of the story line... but it really wasn't as memorable or as awesome as I had hoped.

Final Thoughts
I've made some bold, tentative plans for this coming month that I may not be able to fulfill, but a gal can hope, right? I'm ready to dive into the next set of Reading Assignment books and then even made a final decision to allot the rest of my Reading Assignment choices for the rest of the months in 2015.
And then there's the 24 hour Read-a-thon coming soon... although, in light of some more family activities, I'm not certain if I can follow through with my plans to participate like I want to. But we'll see.
Also looking forward to all the October releases I've been anticipating. October will be a big spending month for me on top of putting several books on library hold requests. It's going to be an exciting month and I really hope I can keep up with all the excitement by catching up with my TBR schedule.
