I finished my previous book much later than I'd intended, mainly because of being immersed in those unforgiving mobile app games.  But that's okay, I finally hunkered down and read and ended up breezing right through the rest of it, finishing it late into the night when I should have been sleeping.  Touching Evil was 288 pages, getting me $3 to add to my bank, which brings my bank total to $64!

And now we trudge on forward with a quick update because I rolled late last night before going to sleep, and was too tired to really put together a coherent update, so a quick edit and finalizing of this post is going up right before I leave for work.

Roll #11 was a 4, which took me to The Lake House 19.  A nice, simple roll, if I do say so myself.

After nearly a week of no activity, it looks like Monkey has taken to climbing the walls.  Regretfully, if I keep taking this long to finish a short book, Monkey may be stuck climbing walls indefinitely.  Hopefully, Penni will be able to keep things under control.  Sorry about that Penni, dear, it's all you now.  I'm not sure I can keep up with Monkey in this state.

A simple decision in the making:  I will be reading the last book of Kylie Brant's Circle of Evil trilogy, because, despite having taken so long to finish my previous book, it looks like the dice roll gods are on my side.  Kyle Brant's first name begins with a 'K' which fits the criteria of "an author whose first or last name starts with any letter in the word L-A-K-E."  This is rather wonderful, because I'd been wondering if I'd have to abandon this trilogy until I landed on a square that would allow me to read it, or if I'd maybe just go ahead and use one of my novelty cards.

Fortune is on my side, and my two novelty cards continue to burn holes in my pocket waiting to be used.  Not that I'm complaining.  I'm obviously leaving these cards for those particular squares I know I won't find a book for.

Facing Evil is 314 pages, Kindle version, which will add $3 to my bank upon completion.

Meanwhile, I'm behind a couple reviews, and will hopefully have them out pretty soon.
