I'm thinking that now would be a good point to report on my Series Challenge progress. Below is the original Series Challenge post reblogged from the original, with updates as I complete each series.
I have managed to finish up to 7 series at present. My goal is to read 7 to 11 series, so I've reached the lower end of my goal already. I see great things to come for the rest of my Reading Challenge year!
Two of these series (Study by Maria V. Snyder and The Archived by Victoria Schwab) still have books to come, but they won't be published until sometime in 2015. Kasie West's Pivot Point is still uncertain, as of right now, whether there will be a third book.
My intention, when I started participating in this challenge was to pick all the series that were already completed, or will be completed this year, but then I ended up deviating a little. There are at least three series I've started reading that began last year and will have a second book published this year -- for some reason, to me, it feels a little like cheating. So I don't know if I'll actually include them, but at least I've made up for it by reading a bunch of other series that are finished.
Anyway...
Also, it looks like I keep adding new series rather than focusing on the ones I had originally chosen for this challenge. At least there's not mandatory, pre-chosen list.

This Reading Challenge is perfect for all of those series that I still need to finish (Divergent, etc...), or those series in which I've already read Book #1 (Partials, Lunar Chronicles, so on and so forth), as well as all the series I'm following like a maniacal fangirl that conclude this year (The Grisha...), and am truly wanting to simply finish said series! I am SO participating in this one! Besides, I already have a list of series I'm reading and need to finish, and series I'm wanting to start reading that finish this year. I have an excel spreadsheet for that too.

I'm going to be realistic here and not go for the Platinum even though I've already listed at least 20 different series I could finish this year (Keyword: "could"). But since there are definitely at least 5 series I already had plans to finish, I'm going to challenge myself to finish at least two more.

As of this date, I'm updating my goal and tweaking things a little bit. I have 3 series listed that aren't completed series even though they have at least 2 books published up to this year, 2014. For instance, Victoria Schwab has recently announced a third book in her The Archived series, Maria Snyder has three more books planned for her Study series, and there is yet to be any word about Kasie West's Pivot Point series despite there being a possibility that the series will be continuing.
So technically, I've only actually completed 11 series in all their entirety. I've still met my main goal, but I'm going to up the ante a little bit for good measure.

Latest update: Previously stated personal goal officially completed.
Okay. I think I've officially completed this challenge. With 18 completed series under my belt this year so far, I think I've proven my point--I'm a hermit with nothing but my books to keep me sane. With Kasie West's announcement that Pivot Point will only be a duology (/cries), it is an official completed series on my list now. Only two series remains to be finished in the coming year(s).
Of course, this doesn't mean that I've stopped reading series. I might even contemplate creating a new personal goal. Maybe. A goal such as starting and finishing 12 or more series this year (as in, not just finishing series that I started reading in previous years). I have 10 of those on my list already, so it would only be another 2+ left (one series I've already begun reading).
Something like that maybe...
