Someone Else's Fairytale (Someone Else's Fairytale #1) - E.M. Tippetts

I'm really going to be short and brief with this one.

Someone Else's Fairytale is a cute and breezy romance with all the elements of a typical everyday, commoner girl-next-door meets the celebrity Prince Charming.  It was enjoyable in that way that, you're looking for a cute romance and a cute romance was what you got.

But other than that, there's really not much to the story.  I appreciate that Chloe Winters was an excellently created character on paper, but in action, she felt kind of boring and way too perfect.  She was too flippant at moments that required some emotion and she got frustrated at the strangest things.

Jason Vanderholt was carbon-copy standard Prince Charming material along with his "too perfect to be true" family.  Though I give some credit to the fact that we don't have a rich family trying to undermine a struggling, poor single female and actually welcome her into their lives with open arms.  This is a new spin, especially from the K-dramas I'm always watching that have the standard type of rich people who are just assholes.  Then again, maybe I shouldn't base all my expectations on K-drama story formulas...

Moving along...

The romance was a little hard to believe in since Chloe goes from being frustrated with a guy who bugged her all the time to being utterly, irretrievably in love with him.  It happened too fast for my taste, but then again, who am I to judge other's romances.  But wait, this is MY review and MY opinion... so I'm going to judge.

The rest of the characters fell pretty flat and there was a moment where I felt like there was too much plot going on.  Or rather, there were too many plots happening all at once.

Overall, the story was still pretty enjoyable, I guess.  I just didn't realize I had so many complaints about it until I started writing my thoughts down.  Yikes!
