The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda Shofner and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, January 7th and runs through Sunday, January 13th in whatever time zone you are in.  Bout of Books is low-pressure.   There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional.

In a few hours, Bout of Books 24 will be starting (in my time zone, at least), but I will be fast asleep with an early morning shift to contend with.  HOWEVER, once I'm off work, I will be jumping into this!  As with previous readathons, I will only be reading and probably won't participate in any of the challenges... just because.  I'm going to try to update as regularly as I can, but I'm not sure that will actually happen.  More than likely, I'll have a mid-week update and a wrap up.

Meanwhile, I've been out of town and away from my computer for the past couple days, but checked into BookLikes every so often to see how everyone was doing, though I haven't commented on anything.  It looks like I've missed a lot of things, most significant being the charities chosen by Themis-Athena, Murder by Death, and Moonlight Reader for the 24 Festive Tasks.

First of all, I'm super impressed and proud about how many points and how much participation we all managed this year, and would love to thank our hosts as well as everyone for all the fun I had for the holiday season.  I didn't do a wrap up post, so didn't really comment on the game overall, but it was tons of fascination and fun reading everyone's responses to all the non-book tasks!

I only have two simple goals for this January 2019 Bout of Books Readathon

1)  Read 3 books.
2)  Update daily... or barring that, as regularly as possible.
Bonus Goal:  Read for at least 2 to 5 hours daily, or on average
