Top Ten Most Anticipated Releases for the Rest of 2015

There are too many books in this category to count.  But fortunately, I DO have a list of those particular books that come right to mind the moment I think about 2015 releases.

Young Adult

The Immortal Heights (The Elemental Trilogy, Book 3) by Sherry Thomas

Winter (Lunar Chronicles, Book 4) by Marissa Meyer

The anticipation I have for the end of these two series is currently building more hype as we speak.  Both Lunar Chronicles and Elemental Trilogy have been extremely enjoyable so far and there will be nothing standing in the way of me getting my hands on these books when they become available.

Because I need more Titus, Iolanthe, Cinder, Carswell, Iko, Scarlet, Wolf, Kai, and Cress in my life.  And I AM looking forward to officially becoming acquainted with Winter and Jacin.

Publication dates:

The Immortal Heights -- October 13

Winter -- November 11

Walk On Earth a Stranger (The Gold Seer Saga, Book 1) by Rae Carson

Six of Crows (The Dregs, Book 1) by Leigh Bardugo

Illuminae (Illuminae Files, Book 1) by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff

I have already enjoyed works by the above authors and very much look forward to any new series and/or books that they will have coming out.  The only author I haven't read is Amie Kaufman, though I've seen a lot of good critique for her writing.  I've only read Jay Kristoff's first Lotus War book, Stormdancer, and really loved it (I have plans to finish the rest of the series, of course).

Leigh Bardugo's new series is supposed to take place in the same world as The Grisha, so I am extremely excited for that one.  And I loved the Fire and Thorns series by Rae Carson, so I'm crossing my fingers that I'll love her new series just as much.

Publication dates:

Walk on Earth a Stranger -- September 22

Six of Crows -- September 29

Illuminae -- October 20

Spinning Starlight by R.C. Lewis

Soundless by Richelle Mead

I really enjoyed R.C. Lewis's Stitching Snow and am very interested in what this author has in store for us next.  Also, I love the covers of these books a lot.  I have yet to read a book written by Richelle Mead (and have no intentions of reading Vampire Academy), and yet between the synopsis and the beautiful cover for Soundless as well as some good critique for Richelle Mead's previous works, I am very much interested in this particular book.  Who knows, it may entice me to give her vampire urban fantasy series a try.

Publication Dates:

Spinning Starlight -- October 6

Soundless -- November 10

Adult

Secrets of the Dead (Mindhunters, Book 7) by Kylie Brant

Fear the Dark (Bishop/SCU, Book 16) by Kay Hooper

Upon browsing Kylie Brant's website, I came across the announcement a couple months ago that Kylie was returning to her Mindhunters series and to keep an eye out for a new book this summer.  And so I did the first thing that came to mind:  I gave a very silent, yet very enthusiastic squeal and fist pump.  And then I proceeded to web stalk her site, Goodreads, Amazon, and pretty much any available resource until the seventh book of the Mindhunters series was officially announced.

And now I wait.  (There's a synopsis already and I am just getting more and more excited.)

Kay Hooper is a personal favorite of mine, being one of the first few Romantic Suspense/Paranormal Romance authors I've read.  I am immensely enjoying her Bishop/SCU books and passively await the release of the next one.  By the time the sixteenth installment is out, I think I should be all caught up with this series.

Publication Dates:

Secrets of the Dead -- June 30

Fear the Dark -- October 20

There is no cover available for this book, so I supply you all with a sexy promo photo that also links to Pamela's blog post at Goodreads that also includes a short (and quite racy) excerpt from the book.

Seduction Game (I-Team, Book 7) by Pamela Clare

I didn't think that Pamela was going to continue this series since the last book in this series felt kind of final.  But then again, I should always know better and keep my hopes up in anticipation.  I'm definitely looking forward to the next I-Team book, if only because Holly has been an ever-present presence in the entire series so far and I would have thought that she'd have her own novella by now, even if not a book.  And now she gets her own book and I'm ecstatically excited for her.
