Top Ten Books on My Spring TBR List

Oh my!  Another TBR Top Ten.  This really needs to be a Top Ten... to Forty list if the Spring reading season lasts from now until June when summer starts.  My list is definitely NOT a short one and it only grows longer by day.

Nonetheless, as grueling as this task is, I will do my best to whittle my TBR down to a Top Ten list, which is pretty much a list of books that I definitely would love to read this Spring as well as books I know I'm definitely going to be reading this Spring.

Top Three TBR Books Pre-chosen for Reading Challenges

Legend (Legend #1) by Marie Lu

Cress (Lunar Chronicles #3) by Marissa Meyer

Kill Me Twice (Bullet Catcher #1) by Roxanne St. Claire

As per my Reading Assignment Challenge, I have to read 4 books each month from my previously chosen "Reading Assignment" list for this year.  So in the three Spring Season months coming ahead, I already know that there will be 12 books read total, at the very least.

The above are the ones I have already assigned to specific months and there are others I haven't quite decided on yet.

While I had wanted to read all of the Legend trilogy either in April or May, a few unexpected obstacles have occurred and I may or may not get to the entire trilogy before summertime starts.  Basically, the library holds waiting list for Legend is a few patrons long right now, guaranteeing that I may not be able to check the book out until May.  My other option is to dish out money, I suppose.

Thus, Prodigy and Champion are listed as Honorable Mentions... you know, just because.

Top Two Personal TBR Choices

Killing Time (One-Eyed Jacks #1) by Cindy Gerard

Deadly Heat (Deadly #2) by Cynthia Eden

Killing Time, and pretty much the rest of Cindy's One-Eyed Jacks series has been a tentative part of my reading list since January.  But with new releases and fulfilled library hold requests coming around (as well as making sure I finish my Reading Assignment Challenge books each month), I've been pushing these titles back and back and back.  I really DO want to get around to reading them soon.

I had a surprisingly enjoyable experience reading Cynthia Eden's first Deadly book, Deadly Fear, so I am intrigued about reading the next book.

Top Five TBR New Releases This Spring

The Fill-In Boyfriend by Kasie West

An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir

A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas

The Story Spinner by Becky Wallace

Shadow Scale by Rachel Hartman

Basically, if I feel like splurging in the next few months, or if the library deems me worthy, I may be able to pick up these books above.  They are basically my most anticipated 2015 new releases for the Spring season--at least they're the Top Five after some grueling cuts were made.

~ Honorable Mentions ~

The Wrath and the Dawn by Renee Ahdieh

Prodigy & Champion by Marie Lu

(Books 2 and 3 of Legend trilogy)

~ And More ~

The following two books won't be published until June which is nearing the end of the Spring season.  If I can pick up these books before Summer officially starts, then I will definitely read them, but with my extended reading list and my ever-changing mood, I'm not sure if I'll get to them before summer.

Then again, Julie James has always been an auto-buy, auto-"Read Right Now", so it'll probably be read within the first two days of its Kindle book release date.

Hidden Huntress by Danielle L. Jensen

Suddenly One Summer by Julie James
